About UnitFlipr

UnitFlipr converts length, weight, temperature, volume, area, speed, time and data storage between metric, imperial and US units, instantly as you type.

Every conversion uses the official definitions (an inch is exactly 2.54 centimeters, a pound exactly 0.45359237 kilograms), and each popular conversion has its own page with the formula, a quick reference table and worked examples.

Conversions run in your browser, so they are instant and nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

How we build our tools

• Free, with no sign-up. Open the page and use the tool. There are no accounts and no paywalls.
• Private by default. Tools run in your browser wherever possible. When a server is needed, we process what is required to answer your request and do not log or store it.
• Fast and focused. One job per tool, done well, on any device.
• Funded by ads. Ads keep the tools free. They sit in clearly labelled spaces and never between a tool and its result.

Who is behind UnitFlipr

UnitFlipr is made by Codebit, a small independent studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, that builds websites and apps. UnitFlipr is one of a family of small, free utility sites that share the same simple design and the same privacy principles.
